NW veterans and 1HRx Records affiliates Reign Pro are getting ready to drop their brand-new CD, "P.O.E.," and the good folks at Lindo's in Vancouver, WA are providing a stage and sound for the release party. Not only will Reign Pro be sharing the stage with PDX-area favorites Tragedy503, Chief Grey and Johnny Blaze, but 1HRx family Public Drunken Sex (PDS) and K-Dizzy as well! Also, your boy Statutory Ray will be hosting the event, mic-in-hand while DJ Biggz controls the mixer. Check it:

... if you haven't already witnessed Reign Pro live, you are definitely missing out. If you haven't witnessed K-Dizzy (who just returned to PDX from miles away) or P.D.S. live, you aren't 'Pharmacy! This show is only five bucks in advance, seven at the door, but Reign Pro is letting 1HRx fans in the door for advance price on the day of the show... all you gotta do is say "It's Reign Whaaaat?!" at the door to get your day-of-show discount. Return of the Yeti: Huge 1HRx Update
Plans change, things evolve, drug dealers get elected and babies grow up to be strippers. To the folks at One-Hour Pharmacy (1HRx) Records, evolution of epic proportions has been going down behind closed doors. As of recent, however, some rumors regarding the new roster as well as old artists (particularly Wombstretcha) have been emerging from the depths of the internet underground. Ladies and gentlemen, it's time for a mothafuckin' update in this piece...
Aside from a steady stream of live shows and a locally-released compilation CD (which we be available on this site within the week), not much has been made public regarding the degree to which 1HRx is truly evolving. We are expanding to the level of a real record label, and are proud to be home to some of the finest artists in the underground scene, including industrial rockers like Pill Brigade, Vert Sin and Bell's Theorem, hip-hoppers K-Dizzy and Public Drunken Sex (P.D.S.), DJs Castor Pollux and HazMatt, and foul-mouthed folk rockers Delaney & Paris. In addition to showcasing the best music in the Northwest, we are preparing to open up shop to the public, offering you all the wonderful services we offer to our artists. If you haven't noticed all the "under construction" pages on this site, you must not be paying attention. Big things are coming, and we are ready to go public any day now.
Yet, there seems to be unfinished business. What started out as a legal front for a gimmick rap group is now a legitimate roster of non-parody artists, and as 1HRx Records transitions from the old to the new, it becomes clear that the most notorious date rap duo in the history of bad music must emerge for one last show. Ladies and gentlemen, we're talking about the hymenic duo of Statutory Ray and Wombstretcha, aka the rap stylings otherwise known as Wombstretcha the Magnificent. Although Ray is plotting a solo career as you read this, Womb has been out of the game for over a year now. Here's the official word from the Date Rap-ist himself:
Some of you recall I was forced into retirement last year by a court-mandated injunction against making music or performing. I fought it tooth-and-nail, but was denied during the initial effort, and thus was forced to try my hand at other ventures, like basket-weaving and infomercial "before guy" acting. It was a long year.
However, now, after some legal chicanery and shysterious actions, I've managed to apply for an appeal. The judge from the first case grew a beard and may have become more sympathetic to my side of the story, either that or he just recently re-upped his Paxil script. Long story short, though, my appeal was granted and proceedings begin on the 4th. That gives me one day to do a show, just one day. You, good reader, you should be there as I re-retire for the very second time.

Well, that about says a mouthful. Make sure you're at the Ash St Saloon in Portland this upcoming Thursday, March 3rd to witness the re-retirement of the greatest rap duo in the history of mankind! In addition, the entire 1HRx Records roster (with the exception of out-of-state Vert and Dizzy) will be in the house, and for many of you, this will be a legendary opportunity to catch the hottest up-and-coming acts in the game for the first time. We're bringing DJs, industrial bands, hip-hop acts, X-rated folk and a whole lot of surprises (including a monkey-brain-eating contest during Pill Brigade's set, no joke...) so make sure to swing on down to 225 SW Ash St in Portland, OR this Thursday. Also in the house will be DJ Twinkletits, and just added, emcee Jimhad of Hard Candy fame. Recognize!

What: Portland's best dive bar (as well as Wombstretcha's old hang-out), The Matador, is not usually known for hosting live music, but the owner is opening up the stage and speakers for a rare hip-hop showcase featuring 1HRx Record's own Public Drunken Sex (PDS) and DJ HazMatt, as well as label associate Proper Respect and Matador family The Hiz (performing his first show ever). This free show will feature full-length sets from the sickest MCs in the Portland underground, as well as cheap-ass drinks, bomb food and loose ladies!
